Orienteering and Problem Solving

Once again we welcomed Adrian Hall over to run some orienteering for the Year 3 and 4 children, whilst Mr Upton led some problem solving activities. This is always a nice event as it gets many children involved who may not necessarily play other sports. It also allows the children to co-operate and communicate with children from different schools. Pictured below are some of the children working together in blindfold games and the Toxic Waste activity.

Key Stage 2 Golf

The Key Stage 2 golf tournament was won by Holt who retained their title and have some very promising golfers coming through. Once again the event was run very well from some of the Year 6 leaders from Sheringham. Pictured below of some of the children in action

Key Stage 1 golf

In February 2016 we ran the first Key Stage 1 golf competition. Unfortunately, after a few teams pulling out we were left with Suffield Park and 2 teams from Holt. The competition could not have been closer with only a few points separating all 3 teams. Eventually Holt A won by 7 points with a score of 1291. Thanks to the Cromer Academy students who ran the event superbly.

quicksticks hockey

The winners of the previous quicksticks hockey competition both defended their titles at Cromer Junior School. The event was played in a fantastic manner - exactly the way that it should be. Cromer A won the large schools without conceding a goal. Northrepps B stunned their A team by winning the small schools competition on goal difference. Pictured are the winning teams.

Sportshall athletics

In November and December the Cromer and Sheringham Sportshall Athletics took place at Cromer Academy and was run by sports leaders from the Academy. The Large schools event was the closest we have ever had, with Holt Primary eventual beating Cromer Junior on countback to retain the trophy. The small schools event was more clear cut as Gresham Village defended their title . Pictured are some of the children in action

Year 3/4 football

On Monday 12th October Holt Primary played host to the Year 3/4 football competition. We had some good weather and a very competitive event between the 6 teams. It eventually went down to goal difference and in the decisive match Sheringham twice came from behind to grab a point and deny Cromer A the victory. Sheringham have now won the competition on all 3 occasions. Can anyone topple them next year? Pictured are the winning team and some action shots

Multi Skills event for Key Stage 1

On Monday 28th September Antingham & Southrepps played host to the annual Key Stage 1 multi skills event. It was great to have a new venue and the Year 5 and 6 leaders were exceptional in helping the younger children. There were activities such as speedstacking, standing long jump, football dribble and foam javelin. All had a great time and pictured are some of the children in action
